Haruki Sakurai (桜井 春樹, Sakurai Haruki) is a side character in Camp Buddy. He is featured only in Taiga's route.
Background[]
An aspiring idol, Haruki is a dedicated trainee and spends most of his time working out and preparing for his big debut - although his charming personality has already won him many fans.
Appearance[]
Haruki has bright red, patted down yet somewhat spiky hair and yellow eyes. He has somewhat pale skin and an athletic build. He has one dark red earring on his left ear and, presumably, another on his right. Haruki also wears a dark red headset and a dark red collar with two golden buckles. He wears a bright red and white vest that also has many dark red belts with golden buckles. It also features a golden yellow underlined sakura flower, possibly relating to his surname, “Sakurai,” over the left side of his thorax. Haruki’s vest also doesn’t cove much skin. He also wears two fingerless dark red gloves with white belts and golden buckles. He wears a dark red belt with golden fasteners and features a golden fox motif. He also wears white pants with one bright red belt and two more belts on his right thigh.
Personality & Traits[]
There aren't many who know the true Haruki, however, there's more to him than meets the eye. Haruki is very outgoing and spontaneous, which is also aided by his charm and cunning personality. This has, of course, helped him in his singing and dancing which has gotten him many fans. Haruki also enjoys watching anime, whenever he is not hanging out with friends or fans. Haruki has to watch what he eats, and this boy likes neither vegetables nor soy.

- The name Haruki means "spring" (春) (haru) and "tree" (樹) (ki).
- Haruki's surname Sakurai means "cherry blossom" (桜) (sakura) and "well, mine shaft, pit" (井) (i).

- Haruki was designed by BLits Games animator: Sorashu.
- Haruki was first announced on Mikkoukun's Patreon, where he was labeled under Team Fire. He lost against Team Ice, Yuuto Mizushima, with 170 votes against 360 in a user poll.
- Mikkoukun revealed that Haruki will possibly be a playable character in an upcoming game. However, as of February 17, 2020, it was announced that Sorashu left the team and took full rights for Haruki. As result, Haruki would no longer be featured in any BLits merch outside of his cameo appearance in the game.
- Despite being exclusive to Taiga's route, Haruki doesn't make another appearance besides as chibi during the fundraising arc.
- Haruki makes a cameo in Taiga's Route helping Keitaro get baking supplies off higher level shelves for Hiro and Aiden's Baking Sale.
